About the residence

Our warm, purpose-built 45-bed home in Ashburton offers private and shared rooms with contemporary furnishings, built-in wardrobes and ensuite options, an indoor atrium, shared lounges and dining rooms, and gardens made for slow walks and family visits.

Meals are dietitian-approved and prepared fresh on site. Laundry, hairdressing, a library and activity rooms, social and cultural programs with regular outings, physiotherapy, podiatry, pet and diversional therapy, and pastoral care are all part of daily life here — delivered by a multilingual, highly trained team.

Familiar faces are what families notice first: we roster a familiar small team wherever possible and plan handovers so residents do not have to repeat what matters to them. And families are always welcome: drop by for a casual visit, share a freshly prepared dinner, or celebrate together in our social spaces.

Life at Rosewood Gardens

“Where care, comfort, and community come together.” Everything you need, all in one place — the rooms, gardens and everyday moments.

Ways to fund your stay

Some people may be able to use approved care funding while living at the residence. We confirm program eligibility, approved services and funding arrangements — and what you will pay, in writing — before admission.

NDIS

Participants live here with 24/7 support arrangements matched to their assessed needs, funded supports and community access under their NDIS plan.

Aged care funding

Some approved aged-care funding arrangements may cover eligible care supports at the residence. We confirm program eligibility and approved services individually before admission.

TAC

Transport accident clients receive their TAC-funded care and rehabilitation support on site.

Private

Private enquiries are welcome. Start dates depend on assessment, suitability, room and staffing availability.

The money, in plain English

The minimum total fee is $225 per day. This includes $75 per day for accommodation and meals, with the remaining amount covering the minimum care arrangement. We do not offer accommodation and meals alone. Eligible care supports may be funded through an approved NDIS, TAC or aged-care arrangement; private clients pay a minimum of $225 per day. Additional one-to-one or higher-intensity support is assessed and priced separately. No lump-sum accommodation bond — no RAD, no DAP; the applicable daily fees, any advance payment, notice period and other charges are set out in the Residential Services Agreement before admission. Funding never covers accommodation or meals, and lower-level former Home Care packages (levels 1 and 2) are not sufficient to fund 24/7 care — if you have been approved for a higher classification and are waiting for funding to start, talk to us. All admissions are subject to assessment, funding confirmation, service suitability and availability. We tell you honestly what your funding covers before you decide — ask us anything about costs, or ask Rosie, any hour.

Accommodation & meals are separately payable for all residents. We provide a clear written quote at your tour — no surprises.

Care options include: short break & respite care · high & low level care · ageing-in-place · specialist dementia care · NDIS services & SIL supports · Support at Home services · TAC-supported care · private care.

“Whatever the length of stay, residents are encouraged to bring their important personal belongings — so they continue their independent journey through life.”

Frequently asked questions

I'm already a Rosewood home-care client — can I move here and keep my team?
That continuity is exactly what we designed the residence for. Subject to assessment, suitability, availability and funding approval, eligible Support at Home, transitioned Home Care Package, NDIS and TAC participants may be able to continue their approved care and support services with Rosewood Gardens after moving in — same organisation, same relationships, same care history. Accommodation and meals are arranged separately under a private residential agreement. See your care journey ›
